24th Weekend

Billy's grandma Esther fell and broke her hip in June. She is recovering well and has been home for awhile now. We went to see her on Sunday, and we hear that seeing Taggart totally made her day! I think it makes my day too.

Taggart helping great-grandma :)

Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Burk's house for dinner. They bought Taggart a little fire hydrant sprinkler to play in, he had lots of fun.

We had a really good pasta dish with salad out of their garden. Grandpa had made homemade raspberry and peach ice cream, it was delicious. We enjoyed their company and had a fun game of Mad Gab, boys against the girls. The girls won!

On Monday, we were planning to go swimming during the day, but it was overcast and windy so we didn't. We did finally get Billy a hair cut, then went to Lindsey Gardens while we waited for the barbecue and fireworks with the Smith's.

This next video I think is good enough to go on America's Funniest Home Videos. Maybe we'll look into it. My little guy is such a big boy, he didn't even cry :) LOL

i couldn't resist taking a picture of this Mohawk. Wow!! And the funniest part was that his name was Jackle!!

Tagg wasn't too sure what to think about the merry go round
The Smith's are friends of Bryan and Marci. I have heard lots about them but never met them. They live downtown by Liberty Park, so it was a perfect place to go to have a barbecue. Then they walk over to the Elementary School to watch the fireworks show.
Tagg's favorite spot was climbing up the stairs and back down.

We had steak and lots of salads. It was way good food. Too bad it started raining and we got rained out. Well we decided to not wait for the fireworks and just get Taggart home. So no fireworks for us, but it's okay. Billy has been teaching me how to play Chess. So we played 3 games last night and I won the last one. He is afraid I'm going to get way better/smarter at it than him. Guess we'll see :)
