Bowling with Torri

So Billy had the day off, we were going to go to the temple. We are on our way there and already to Sandy, and I realize I forgot my recommend. That is really weird because I never forget anything! Torri was watching Taggart for us, and he was asleep when we left. When we got back he was awake, so we decided for all of us to go bowling to a really cheap place (Thanks Torr).

We had a good time, haven't been bowling in forever! It was fun to hang with Torri, haven't seen her in a really long time. Afterwards we came home and put Taggart to bed, then went and got a Red Box. Surprisingly I didn't fall asleep, Torri did. She had to leave for work at 6:30 in the morning, so I didn't blame her! P.S. We weren't excited about waking up to 5 inches of snow :(

10 Months

Taggart turned 10 mths on the 25th. I know I always say I can't believe that he is that old, but I really can't. Each day is starting to feel like a blurr. He is doing so many new things, some that I can think of are:

• Crawling up the stairs with no help
• Eating anything he finds anywhere, we're thinking he won't be picky!
• Has 5 teeth broken through and waiting on 3 more.
• Loves standing up to whatever he can find, he loved being at my parents, they have so much room to crawl and many things to stand up too.
• Loves doing Your Baby Can Read, We've been doing it about 6 weeks now and when we show him the flash cards and ask him which one says __________, he chooses the right one most times. We think that when he chooses wrong it's because he likes the other card better.
• Loves to eat his cereal, but it makes him constipated so I don't give it to him very often.
• Loves other babies, he's fascinated by them and loves to watch and try to touch and grab. He definitely doesn't understand soft yet.
• Loves books, he will grab a book and start looking at it then sit on your lap and let you read it to him. (One of my favorite things)
• Loves watching out the window, especially when waiting for mom or dad to come home.
• He makes my heart melt when I get home, because he gets the biggest grin ever and wants to come to me immediately.
• Claps all the time.
• Newest thing is he puts his left fist against his mouth and moves it back and forth to make that blubbering noise.
• Very interested in what we are eating, even if we have already fed him, he is immediately by your side wanting bites of your meal. His new favorite is PB&J.

Taggart loves to go to Jett's house, they have the best bench to stand up to. He also loves that we usually take them for walks on the bike path together. I think they'll be friends when they get older.

Easter and Cinderella

This year for Easter we were able to go to Grace and spend it with my family. We got there on Friday and that night we were at the house with Peanut and Jayden, while my parents went to see Ashlynn in Cinderella (The GHS Musical). We played Phase 10 Twist and Scrabble, I decided I don't really like to play Scrabble, and it's probably because I'm not very good at it. Billy beat me and Peanut pretty bad! When my parents and Ashlynn got home we all sat in the living room and talked way too late. We laughed and laughed, it was just hilarious, we were all teasing each other about something or other. If you know my family that's definitely not a SURPRISE!  On Saturday I went to Jeanne Tibbitts funeral with my mom and Peanut. I was grateful to be able to go, since Brandon was in my class and I wanted to show their family I cared. Funerals are so hard for me to go to, because I never know what to say to anyone and I usually feel awkward. It was a really great service with lots of laughs and music. I also got to see my friends Velvet and Eli, so that was fun too. That afternoon we colored Easter Eggs, Taggart had fun with that I think :)

My mom helped get Jayden to give us a real smile. He's not allowed to have his movies and tv in the kitchen usually, but when no one was watching he moved himself right in :)

Sometimes Taggart sleeps so crazy, and when we come to wake him up or check on him, he's either at the opposite end and different direction, or just simply somewhere that doesn't look comfy. I couldn't resist taking a picture of this time!

Then we were off to the play, I decided to put Tagg in his pajamas so when it got over he would be ready to get to bed. We were also hoping that he would behave during the play. I honestly think he liked it better than some people, he was literally glued at parts.

The Cast

Ashlynn and Brando were dance partners during the ball etc, none of my pictures from that part really turned out. They did a great job together though. It was nice that they were partners because we got to watch both at the same time. During the play Taggart sat on Mandi's lap for a bit and was fascinated by Tim! We think he liked Tim's hat, he had on a baseball cap. It was cute to watch his eyes immediately go to Tim's head. The play was pretty cute, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. When I think of Cinderella I think of the Disney movie and it was pretty different. I think they all did a great job, and it was just fun to go watch something with my family. I don't know why I didn't get any pictures from Easter Sunday, probably because church is at 8:30 A.M. and we were just trying to make it on time. It was interesting because the lady who spoke talked a lot about death and it was a little different. But I am very grateful that I know Jesus Christ died for all of us and because he was resurrected I know that we all will be too someday. I'm getting more and more excited for when Taggart actually shows that he's learning at church, what we notice now is that he loves when everyone is singing. Overall it was a great weekend and I'm already excited for the next time we get to be in Grace again!

Spring Fling with the West Lake Ward

I guess a tradition of our current ward is that every year around Easter time they have a silent auction where the youth and other ward members make things that they sell. The proceeds go to help the youth afford Youth Conference for the summer. Our Bishop makes homemade cheesecake every year. This year one of them went for over $200! We watched a short video clip about the Atonement and Easter then had breakfast. Taggart loved the pancakes, but didn't know what to think about the scrambled eggs. After Breakfast they had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, we took Taggart out to watch.

Afterwards we went to look at some new places to live. Our current manager decided to move and we found out our rent is going to probably be going up! That made us nervous, so we went to look at newer places. We found the place! We are moving to the:

Don't have the best picture but they are so cute, and we are so excited! We are moving at the end of May! These are located in Bluffdale, which is so much closer to work and school for Billy. We are excited to start somewhere new and save much needed money on GAS!!!!

Two Trips, Just Not Together :(

Billy had a trip for school that was in Las Vegas. It was called NAB. Basically he went down to see stuff about animation and see new programs that will be available next year. It was a very quick trip, they left Sunday Morning and got back late Tuesday Evening. I didn't want to stay here by myself with Taggart for that long, so Tagg and I headed to Grace to see my family.

 I told him next time he has to take me to Vegas, since I've never really been. I've only been to Primm Valley when my family and I went on the Desperado!

We arrived in Grace just in time for Sunday dinner with the family. It was so good! Jason was there too and he was making Taggart laugh hysterically. It was so funny, because he was even spanking Taggart and he still laughed. Maybe he likes that Jason is so big and tall! Since Taggart has been crawling like crazy, he is always looking for ways to crawl and climb up, lucky for him Skeeder is still in a big box. So he loved crawling and standing by it, while moving his hand away as Skeeder would lick it. It was very cute to watch him.

I also got to meet up with Melanie and Paizlee, we met for lunch at good ol' Bergy's. It was fun to talk and catch up, and of course we were there forever. I swear everytime we get together we can just talk and talk. Guess it shows how good of friends we are. It was so cute to see Paizlee and Taggart interact. We didn't get the best pictures, but you'll get the gist of it. I'm going to post a couple from a couple of months ago when we saw them, before both of them were crawling, now they are both looking so much more grown up.

Unfortunately the whole time I was in Grace this time, Taggart didn't feel good. We knew he was teething but had to be a little under the weather too. Let's just say it made for really long nights, and I eventually had to take him out in the stroller even though it was a little cold. He LOVES being outside. I think he still did really well being happy though, I just got so frustrated during the night!

We also visited Grandma Mac's house and got to see cousins, Muffin, Myan, Maycie, and Duty :) LOL Gotta love the nicknames. Myan wanted to take care of Taggart it was funny, she kept grabbing stuff for him and loved sharing his snacks too.

Not sure why I don't have any pictures of the rest of them, but Muff was making Taggart laugh pretty hard, so it was making all of us laugh! I was so nervous about the trip home because I knew Taggart wasn't feeling his best, so I decided to leave when he would normally go to bed hoping he'd sleep the whole way. He made it to Logan where we dropped Jason's registration to him and Jason made him laugh and smile a little bit. Then he cried til I finally turned on a cd. I ended up having to stop and let him play around at a store close to Ogden, then he went back to sleep. It was hard because Billy didn't get back til like twenty to 1, so Taggart was just so sleepy. I'm just glad I survived and hope that I don't have to deal with that again!
