15 Months Old

Waiting at the Dr office!

Stats:
28.4 Pounds-90th Percentile
32 inches tall-100th Percentile
Head circumference- 63rd Percentile

I had kept telling Billy that I thought Taggart was getting taller and thinning out. He grew 2 1/2 inches in 3 months and gained a little over 1 pound. The Dr looked at us and said he is a BIG boy! We can't believe he is already this old. Some of the new accomplishments at this age are:
  • No more Binky(we decided to take it before I started my job, and he has done really well)
  • Climbs up the play gym and goes down the slide all alone
  • Has almost 14 teeth cut through
  • Can now open all the doors in our house and if we forget to lock the door, he will leave.
  • He is jabbering lots more, but still he is not really talking yet. I have a feeling it could be soon, but we will see.
  • He hates when one of us leaves to go outside if we don't take him along.
  • He has really started trying to climb out of his crib lately, I'm hoping he won't be able to for quite awhile. I like having him in the crib where I know he won't escape :)
  • He goes into the bathroom, and removes my shampoo and conditioner every day. He will carry it around the house.
  • Basically I feel like Taggart is getting more and more busy and capable of climbing and reaching anything he wants to get too.
One of his last times with the Binky

One of our last times at Cowabunga Bay for the summer

On a Sunday walk to the Jordan River Parkway

Loves to climb up slides, we're still working on that one.

Just snuggling with Mr. Monkey
The girl who babysits Taggart for us has two little boys who love Taggart. This one night when I came out with him to play they were there, so I took a few pictures of them together.

Here is a video of him climbing up to go down the slide, it's split into two videos, because the lady kept getting into it and her kids were distracting him so he didn't go straight down the slide!
He loves to run free while out on walks! I love his face :)

We love our little Taggart!! He is such a sweetheart!! We love that everyone always tells us that he has such a good personality and is so easy going. We're so grateful that he's such a happy man.

3 DAY WEEKEND AND A VISIT TO GRACE!

I didn't have to teach last Friday, and Ashlynn had a couple volleyball games. We decided to go to Grace for the weekend. Taggart did really well in the car, until we hit Preston. I stopped to pick up some juice for my mom, took Tagg in with me to walk around a little and he knocked over a couple cream soda bottles. OOPS!! I was probably more embarrassed than anything, but the guy was nice and took care of it. We went straight to the game. They were playing North Gem. They won:) Ashlynn told me their coaches said they better win in 3 against them, or they would have practice in the morning at like 5 or 6, but if they won they didn't have practice.
Ashlynn Serving

Billy had just finished his finals on Thursday morning, but had stayed up til 4 in the morning to finish. So needless to say he was pretty exhausted. Here is a picture of him and Tagg watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Friday morning.
I told Billy they have the same exact expression, lol!
Friday Billy was nice enough to stay at the house while Jayden and Tagg were napping. I went with my mom and Ashlynn to Pocatello to grab a few things. When we got back we took Taggart to the park in Grace. It was interesting, but Taggart went down the big fast slide all by himself.

He would not stop playing with the dog toys!!

I have the best husband ever, cuz the next morning he stayed at the house and watched Taggart again, so I could go with my mom to Ashlynn's Volleyball Tournament in Malad. We had fun, but they got out pretty quick. I left the camera with Billy to get pictures while I was gone.

Yes, it is another dog toy!

Tagg watching Jayden, they get along most of the time :)
So this time when we went we actually remembered our Frisbee golf set. When we got back we went to Kelly park in Soda to play. It was hot and the course wasn't too kid friendly but we had a good time.

We went to church on Sunday at 8:30 A.M. I decided Taggart was old enough or at least looked big enough to attempt nursery. We took him and it was so nice to actually be able to enjoy church. He did really well in the nursery and didn't even cry when we left him. After dinner we headed back to Utah and stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Burk's to celebrate Grandma's birthday. It was a fun weekend!

Mr. Mom

This past week I started my long term substitution job at Academy Park Elementary. This means that I have to leave my little boy home, but Dad gets to watch him most of the time. We sat down and planned menus to be able to be smart about grocery shopping and spending out time. It has been great that Billy has done such a great job with Taggart. Every day when I've come home the house has been clean, dinner cooking, laundry going, and my little boy is smiling. This makes this job bearable for me, knowing that Taggart is still happy even though when he wakes up he goes straight to my side of the bed looking for me:(
We got to go to the Aquarium on Saturday.
Oh My Goodness!! My Kindergarten classes have 34 and 35 kids in them. If you've ever tried to watch 5 yr olds, try that many. It is utter CHAOS!! Luckily for the first 2 days I had an aide to help and some help on Thursday. But sadly on Friday Mrs. Bradshaw had to be with her mother in the hospital, so I was alone. I was in tears after my morning class left. Nothing worked. They wouldn't listen or be quiet no matter what I tried. I felt like a failure! I was so relieved when I had a mom who volunteered for most of the afternoon class, and that class is just more mellow anyhow. Luckily the principal promised me that next week Monday through Friday I would have an aide all day. That makes me less stressed. I am so grateful that the 15th is coming, that is when the District surpluses their teachers. So our school will be getting another Kindergarten teacher by the 21st. I can do 2 more weeks, I can do it I can do it......Wish me luck!! I finish this subbing job when they get out for Thanksgiving Break.

New do

I have been debating cutting my hair for months now. I finally just gave in and went and chopped off 6 1/2 inches. It's much lighter now, and I can straighten it in like 5 minutes. I'm loving it. Especially now that I'm working at the school, it's lots faster :)
I also love that she made my bangs even and my part where I like it.
