Carving Pumpkins

We finally found a night to carve the pumpkins we got at the patch. I even helped scoop out the guts, which I never really do.

He kept putting the pieces of pumpkin in his mouth, I'm not really sure if he ever actually ate any of it, it was making us laugh.

Thought I'd throw in Tagg with his pumpkin last year, look how chunky and little he was.

I actually had a lot of fun doing the pumpkins this year, and am excited for next year when Taggart will probably really want to help :)

Aquarium and Walk with Grandma

Since last week I had UEA off for school, which was heavenly only having school Monday, Tuesday, and half day Wednesday :) We tried to do some fun things together as a family. We went to the Aquarium again and Taggart enjoyed it more this time. We finally saw the anaconda had moved out of its original spot and got a better picture.

We think part of the reason Taggart enjoyed it more, is because he had a sore bum from diarrhea and was just content to be pushed around in the stroller to see everything. He especially liked the penguins and the big fish. Then we decided to go and see Grandma, Lilly, and Zephyr because we hadn't seen them in quite awhile. We decided to go for a walk and let Taggart and Jackson run around in the big field by the middle school.

He'll kill me someday for this one. But when he's drinking out of this certain cup he always makes a mess, so I had to get a picture of a true milk mustache ha ha. He had milk everywhere.
Since it's finally Fall, the leaves are changing and it's very pretty outside. We've been meaning to drive up the canyon, but haven't yet. Here is one picture that Billy took while on our walk.

16 Months

Wow! Once again I'll say i can't believe that Tagg is 16 months, it is so unbelievable and crazy. The biggest change we've noticed this last month is that he has a new high pitched squeal that he lets out often and it's not cute, it's obnoxious :) He also has been more prone to getting upset when he can't have what he wants (or I suppose when we don't know what he wants, because he's not really talking yet). It has been so frustrating trying to figure out what to do to not have to have him go through the terrible two's, which I always hear start at 18 months :( Hopefully we'll get through it. He is still very love able and likes to give hugs and kisses.  I feel like since I'm gone more with my teaching job that he clings to me more when I am home, which I don't mind most of the time. Ha Ha only when I'm trying to get something done and he WON'T let me. Tagg still loves loves to go outside, and will sneak out of the house any chance he gets, which isn't often because we usually remember to lock the door; but he always checks! He's been doing really well at the babysitter and we feel like he even gets excited to go. Her little boy has came over the last couple of days and asked if Taggart can come outside and play. He's still a little young for that! It's very cute though.
He now opens lids, DVDs, and anything he can get a hold of that's not too tight.

This was one morning when I had to wake him to go to the babysitter. I had to grab my camera! We decided he likes his head warm not his feet :)

He's still the most handsome boy on the block ;)

His new favorite place to get in the pantry, now that he can open the door. I've been saying I need child locks for a couple months now, maybe soon I'll get around to it.

I guess he still thinks he's a little guy, because he has been trying to climb in this everyday and he finally made it, ALMOST.
He has been being weird about eating lately. It depends on the day, but some days he will eat any textures and anything, and others he'll hardly eat anything. We're trying to decide if he's just not as hungry anymore or what. It will be hard to get used to not having to constantly feed him, he used to eat CONSTANTLY! His 2 favorite things to do that he's not supposed to are: go in the bathroom, get behind the shower curtain and grab my shampoo and conditioner. He carries them around the house constantly, I don't know why. I guess I'd rather have him doing that than getting in the toilet ;) The second is to get in the towel and washrag drawer in the kitchen and haul them around the house. I seriously do not know how many times I take things and put them back. He's lucky he's so darn cute, because some days he completely exhausts me. But we still love him.

P.S. For some reason he has been waking up earlier and earlier, anyone have any suggestions as to why. It doesn't make for a very happy mom and dad in the morning,,,,ha ha

Pumpkin Patch!

This was the first time I'd ever been to a Pumpkin patch, we thought it would be fun to take Taggart and see how he enjoyed seeing all the pumpkins and the other fun things. we chose the wrong time of day to go, because he hadn't had his nap yet. He fell asleep on the way there and then was just cranky. Needless to say we only stayed a little bit.

These are all pictures from the first time we went, and Taggart would cry every time we'd take him off of a tractor. We're thinking maybe he needs to live on the farm. Guess we'll see when he gets older. We then decided to take him home and put him down for his nap. After he woke up we went back and this time we all had a great time.

We thought it was so great how they had a free corn maze, tractor rides, and all the tractors to get pictures. We were amazed at how cheap our pumpkins were too.

We could not get him to look for the life of us. It was so cute how they had this area set up too.
I think Taggart enjoyed it, but was ready to go by the end. He was getting frustrated because during the corn maze he just wanted to run but it was bumpy and he kept falling down. I guess that's how they get better, Right?

Out in Coats!

It has finally cooled down and not been so stinking hot! It was kind of crazy, because it got really cold and one night we tried out Taggart's new winter coat. We think he looks very cute.
Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks?

It was so funny watching Taggart try and maneuver. It was hard for him, because his coat is puffy. We all had a good time though, just being together and playing at the park.

What daddy and the boy do while mom is gone!

They build forts :)

Isn't Taggart just the cutest, sweetest, little boy you've ever seen?? We love him!

Happy 30th Billy:)

Billy and I went out to dinner the Friday before his birthday, because that's when we found a babysitter.

Since his birthday usually falls around Conference time, we are usually doing that for part of his birthday. Saturday night Taggart and I dropped Billy off to the Priesthood session and we went to pick up Billy's gifts.
Sunday morning Billy's mom and brother brought over doughnuts for breakfast before conference, they wanted us all to go to lunch or dinner or something. But we decided since it was Sunday we would just do something at home.

Me and Tagg watching conference

Billy opening his gifts, we did that in between sessions on Sunday.

During Conference all of a sudden Taggart comes out into the living room with a sucker he had gotten out of the garbage. He sure was proud of himself, he's such a little beast!

He got See's Chocolates, Dominoes, water bottle, and a shopping spree :)

After Conference we went to the park to play Frisbee and go for a walk. It was nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air.

That night we had waffles for dinner and Billy's mom, Lilly, and Zephyr came over. They brought him two movies and a gift card. We celebrated with his dad and Marci on Tuesday and ate at the Golden Tree Cafe. It is a cheap but delicious Chinese restaurant. They gave him some money, art supplies, and a camp stove. Now we'll be able to go camping without anyone :) My family gave him money. We had a great day and are grateful for everyone who thought of Billy. Happy Birthday honey!
