Taggart hit the big '20' month :)

Taggart is getting so smart. He seriously amazes me everyday. He is still not talking much. His words he says are few, ball, moo, mama, Dada, hello, bye bye,  oh and of course no. But he understands so much. I can ask him to go get something for me and he will. He is getting so good at building towers with his blocks all by himself, and even claps when he does now. He still loves looking at books all of the time, and usually looks at one in his crib when it's time for a nap or bedtime. He loves being at the computer, I usually make sure it is off so he can't do anything bad to it, but sometimes he gets to it when it is on. He loves my Ipad, Billy told me the other day that Taggart plays with it more than him. Ha ha, Taggart really doesn't get to play with it that often, I let him at church to occupy him and sometimes at home. I don't just let him take charge of it. He loves phones, he will pick up anything and hold it up to his ear and just talk and say hello. My favorite was when he picked up our huge remote and did that. He wishes that it was warmer more often outside so he could go out and play. His new favorite thing is to go to the basketball court, he loves watching the boys play and hold a basketball while he's out there. Too bad, sometimes the boys are not very nice and don't let him watch them. We usually know he's awake by hearing his blinds hit his window, or he is talking very loudly. Go in his room to get him and all of his stuff is thrown out of his crib. He loves to show you where his eyes, nose, ears, tongue and belly are. He also likes to show you your own too.  It has been fun being home with him. I always kiss his cheek or forehead and lately he has been coming up to me and leaning in for a kiss. He also has been such a mamma's boy lately and flips out if I leave, but then is fine after a second. I have a feeling he knows that he's going to be sharing me really soon.  Here are a few pictures of him from the last month.

Loves to knock over the blocks, we always try and see how high we can get it before he notices we made a new one.

Watching Mary Poppins on a day he wasn't feeling well.

Random kid at the mall with him. It's hard to let him play there, because the other kids just push and shove and climb up the slide. Etc,,,I'm hoping he doesn't pick up too many bad habits.
Don't mind my belly, but I thought he looked pretty cute, this was on Valentine's Day.

Taggart and Jandro ( His mom used to babysit Taggart for us)

Hadn't swung in forever, he loved it. Stayed in for probably 20 minutes.

On my Ipad, the only reason he has it to himself was so I could get a picture ;). Yes I am protective of it!!

He loves his belly :)

Will you be my Valentine?!

So this year we kind of celebrated throughout the week with different people. On Monday for F.H.E. we went to Carl's Junior for dinner and let Taggart play on the play place. As we were watching him interact with the other little kids there it was funny because I kept thinking I hope he doesn't ever throw a tantrum as bad as some of them.. But I am sure it will be in the future. I also told Billy that I don't remember ever playing on those play things when I was younger. So I decided either my mom knew how disgusting they were, or we came to eat and then had to leave to get back somewhere! On Tuesday, Billy's mom took us to dinner at Fong's Chinese restaurant. Taggart actually did really well there and even ate quite a bit of coconut shrimp and kept grabbing Zephyr's food off of his plate. Thursday night, Billy came home and surprised me with a new printer for our computer. It is just like the one we had just an updated one that will actually connect to our newer computer. I was excited and surprised. He also got me a box of chocolates from See's Candie's. That is what I got him too. We got Taggart the Donald, Mickey, and Goofy Three Musketeer movie. He has already watched it like 4 times. For our actual celebration, Billy and I had Grandma Burk watch Taggart on Saturday. We went to the Gateway theater and watched The Secret Life of Arrietty. It is a new Animation film from Billy's favorite animator. It was good and nice to go to a movie where I knew there wouldn't be any swear words and it would just be a clean one :)
Then to kill some time before our dinner reservation, we went to the downtown City Library. You can go out on top of the roof, it was a pretty view, and it was fun to go in a huge library.

The long way down, and no we didn't climb up that way, we took the elevator. Thank Heavens!!
We made reservations at Kyoto. It is a Japanese Restaurant that Billy has wanted to take me to for quite awhile. Every time we've tried they've had a 2 hour wait. Luckily we made a reservation for right when they opened. Billy got Sushi (yellowtail and octopus) and we both got tempura dinners. His sea food, mine shrimp. I would've tried the octopus, but couldn't since I'm pregnant, but it still didn't look very good. It was fun to see the waitresses all decked out in Japanese clothing and of course their socks with flip flops (too bad I didn't get a picture of that).

We had a great time celebrating what seems like a silly holiday at times. But no matter who you have in your life that you love. It's fun to show them that love. I'm grateful for my husband, Taggart, and soon to be new son. They help my life be better every day. I love you all!! Hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day!!

Taggart's Haircut

So we got Taggart's hair cut a few months ago, but didn't have Cami use the clippers at all. This time we just went for it. I think he looks different but really good. We did it short enough that his hair is fun to do now, because his long hair on top doesn't always get in the way:) We have a salon we have found that is pretty cheap where we have been getting our hair cut. There is a certain girl that we like the best, we requested her. We think she did a pretty good job, and props to her for dealing with a wiggly little boy!

He kept laughing, cuz the clippers were tickling him!

Shows how much she took off, and the candy he was bribed with :)
Starting to not want to sit still anymore!!

All done, but he would not let mom get a good picture.

He is growing up way too fast!! But he sure is a handsome little man :)

Where does the time go?? 19 Months

Taggart is growing up soooo much! He is getting so smart everyday. He has been amazing me with random things all the time. Even though he is not talking much yet, I have realized that he understands A LOT! I have always called his stuffed animal and blanket that he likes to sleep with Mr. then their name. So I call his blanket Mr. Frog. The other day he had drug it out of his crib so it was in the living room, it was time for a nap. So I said go get Mr. Frog so we can go to sleep. He came out and brought it back. He does the same when I say it's time to change your bum. He goes to his room and lays down where I always change him. He has been bringing us food when he is hungry and is such a good eater. He can eat a whole Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. Now that dad leaves we watch for him out our window and now Taggart always waves and says da da da da, instead of waving and saying bye bye. But I still think it's cute. He gets so excited when we pick up dad, and if I tell him it's time to go, he'll bring me his shoes and his coat. He is loving nursery so much. If we ever have to take him out of Sacrament Meeting, he runs straight to the nursery room and tries to climb the gate to get in. He still hasn't cried when we've left him, I'm hoping he just won't. I do like that he is excited when we pick him up though.

Maybe he'll be a boxer??!!
I just think that little boys look so cute in their church clothes, and I love making Taggart's hair curly. But boy does he need a hair cut. Hopefully soon. He loves putting on dad's shoes all day and walking around in them. It is so crazy, because he always puts them on the right feet and gets mad when he can't go where he wants. He is getting really good at it. He is constantly bringing us his shoes or boots to put on. He always brings the correct pair and just always likes to have some on his feet.

He's getting so good at playing with things the correct way too.

Happy in the morning!

Some hard things that come with his age are taking him to the grocery store. If I am lucky he will stay in the cart long enough to eat a package of fruit snacks or drink some juice. Then he wants out. Let's just say it is very hard to take him alone and not feel like I'm going to lose him. I miss the days when he would sleep in the cart,,,ha ha. So we usually let him help us push the cart and that helps entertain him.  He also always wants to go outside and since the weather has been so weird we haven't been able too very much, so thank heavens he likes to play with me and his toys inside too. His new favorite thing to do is knock over the block tower, it cracks him up for a long time. He's getting better at doing his shape toys and puzzles.  Also most of the time you can be sure to see Tagg with something on his head, whether it be a bucket, bowl, block etc. He just loves having a helmet :)

Still loves his books :)

He has a hard time remembering to always watch where he is going and fell on his blocks the other night. It made his nose bleed. I'm just grateful that was all it was and he was okay after a couple of minutes.

We got to go see Tyler again. We haven't seen him since Tagg was 4 months old. They actually played pretty well together, or just content by themselves. Tyler is almost 2 1/2 and Taggart is pretty much bigger than him.

Got to meet Hannah, didn't turn out to be the best picture. She is cute and a pretty content baby. Already so big and is only 6 months old.

We have been reading the kids Book of Mormon with him every night. He actually sits pretty well for us, and even chooses that book to look at during the day which I think is cute. I just can't wait for him to say at least part of his prayers by himself. We always tell him to say amen, and sometimes he tries. It's so cute. He's growing up so fast, that it is making us more excited for the new one coming, because we feel like Taggart is going to be a great big brother!! Also, with him around we never have a dull moment, which is good for the soul :)
